Paulie’s South Street Steaks/Instagram Three new restaurants are well on their way to a northwest debut, bringing fast-casual sweet and savory menus to the Lowe’s Plaza on Craig Road. Expected to be first to open its doors, Paulie’s South Street Steaks from Philadelphia-born owner and chef Marcus Morin will launch inside a 1,790-square-foot space, a short distance from the Sweet Popp Shopp and the intersection with Jones Boulevard. Most recently associated with shuttered Filipino restaurant The Cutting Board and Fremont East’s Corner Bar Management, chef Morin already previewed the future menu, highlighted by cheese steaks prepared with a thinly sliced blend of Kobe and prime sirloin served on 12-inch, locally sourced buns and plenty of toppings including the obligatory Cheez Whiz, plus chicken breast sandwiches, grinders, a wagyu French dip, and a collection of fries.
