CCPO inspects mourning procession route

LAHORE:Capital City Police Officer Ghulam Mahmood Dogar visited the Walled City to inspect around seven kilometres of the main mourning procession of Youm-e-Aashoor from Nisar Haveli at Mochi Gate to Karbala Gamay Shah. The CCPO was briefed there were 22 imambargahs of category A and 1,190 majalis and 235 mourning processions will be held in the city division in Muharram.

PESHAWAR: The police department is observing Youm-i-Shuhada on Wednesday (today) to commemorate the sacrifices of its 1,522 men and women, who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

LAHORE: Police on Wednesday said that the four girls who had been missing from Lahore for the past four days were found in Sahiwal today,
The girls had gone missing from Lahore s Hanjarwal area on July 30. Talking to Geo News, the mother of two of the girls had said that her daughters went missing with their neighbours daughters.
She had said, Out of fear of humiliation, we did not inform anyone and searched for the girls ourselves.
The girls reportedly told the police they were not abducted by anyone but turned off their mobile phones for fear of being scolded by their parents.
