POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - Students at Three Rivers College participated in an earthquake-simulated mass casualty training session on Wednesday afternoon at the Poplar Bluff campus.
“We normally do this exercise at the end of the program,” said nursing instructor Brandy Herring. “So, they are able to use everything that they’ve learned in the past two years in this scenario that we present to them.”
Herring said a lot of preparation is involved before the students participate in the actual incident.
Sikeston Jaycees create scholarship at Three Rivers College for students on rodeo team
The Sikeston Jaycees have created an endowed scholarship with the Three Rivers Endowment Trust.

SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - The Sikeston Jaycees have created an endowed scholarship with the Three Rivers Endowment Trust.
Scholarship funds will be awarded annually to a member of the TRC Rodeo Team.
“We love rodeo and want to help advance the sport,” said Ethan Vazquez, who served as the 2020 Jaycee Club president. “We are all proud to endow this scholarship as another part of our partnership with the Three Rivers College Rodeo team.”

DEXTER, Mo. (KFVS) - Three Rivers College signed an agreement with the Dexter Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, March 9, to purchase the building that houses TRC-Dexter.
The four-year lease-to-own agreement will secure a permanent home for the College in Dexter and provide room for growth.
“The Dexter Chamber of Commerce is excited to see Three Rivers College accelerate their growth into our Dexter community. The pathway for Dexter and surrounding communities to further their higher education will remain constant,” said Alisha Trammell, Executive Director of the Dexter Chamber of Commerce.
