One out of three adults age 65 and older fall each year. As we age, we can develop a fear of falling. This fear can result in a decrease in physical activity and lead to increased isolation.
Studies show 30% of individuals who fall suffers injuries that decrease mobility and independence and result in high medical costs. The National Council on Aging reported the total cost of fall injuries in 2013 was $34 billion with 78% being paid by Medicare.
MARITIME TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

The Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport (Ministry), in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and relevant maritime stakeholders, would like to reiterate and outline restrictions on inter-island shipping.
As announced by the Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services, effective midday today, Thursday, 22 April 2021, all outbound inter-island passenger travel from Viti Levu will be suspended. While passengers can travel to Viti Levu, no one on Viti Levu can leave until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

JOHNSTOWN The important work of Fulmont Community Action Agency, Inc. serving the often-forgotten was cited by Fulton County legislators Monday.
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Fonda-based Fulmont with a proclamation issued at its monthly meeting at the County Office Building.
May was declared “Community Action Month” in Fulton County.
Gloversville 1st Ward Supervisor Marie Born read the proclamation about Fulmont – one of numerous community action agencies serving New York state and the United States. Founded in 1965, the local agency has 115 professionals dedicated to providing quality services to the residents of Fulton, Montgomery counties, and surrounding counties.
