The garden department, according to media reports, had suffered a loss of Rs 11 crore during the 11 months of the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
A PWC official, while speaking to a media house, said that the decision was important because the coronavirus cases have been rising and it is difficult because the department will only suffer more losses as the crowds had increased to normal numbers in all the gardens.
Not only the garden department but also the street vendors fear that the loss in their customer base. The vendors fear that most of their customers come from the nearby gardens only.
People are worried that a lockdown might be imposed again and then there would be no earnings for the vendors whatsoever,

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Police have brought an end to a situation involving an armed subject that caused them to shut down a busy stretch of road in south Charlotte Friday morning.
The incident happened at 11:03 a.m. when officers responded to Providence Road and McKee Road for the armed subject.
As officers worked to deescalate the situation, Providence Road at McKee Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway, and I-485 at Providence Road were completely shut down.
