In the official dispatch on July 9, the embassy expresses its gratitude to the Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, and Federal Aviation Administration for supporting and facilitating flights to repatriate thousands of Vietnamese citizens stranded in the U.S. due to the Covid-19 pandemic. While international commercial flights remain suspended, Bamboo Airways has been granted permission to conduct charter flights to transport goods and passengers to the U.S., the foreign mission of Vietnam emphasized.
