Tree plantation drive by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority
Islamabad, March 14, 2021 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) organized a tree plantation drive in the vicinity of PTA Headquarters in Islamabad. Chairman PTA, Major General Amir Azeem Bajwa (R) inaugurated the eco-friendly drive by planting a sapling along with Authority Members Mr. Muhammad Naveed and Dr. Khawar Siddique Khokhar. Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman encouraged PTA officers and officials to participate in the drive and extend its scope to their neighbourhoods to increase green cover.

Punjab Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja offered condolences to the family of the martyred Racecourse police station SHO Inspector Mian Imran Abbas Shaheed on Saturday.
While visiting the victim’s family who was martyred in a target killing incident, the minister said that the martyrs of the police were the pride of the nation.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Imran Ahmar, City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas, and other senior police officials accompanied Basharat on his visit.

Police registered cases and launched raids to nab the armed suspects.
According to the police report, the 12-year-old son of Muhammad Ilyas, a resident of 56JB on Narwala Road, along with his 14-year-old cousin, the son of Nazir, had gone to see the henna function of Dilawar Jutt where the suspect Naveed, son of Liaqat, and Ali, son of Ashraf alias Achhi, threatened them at gunpoint. The suspects took them to a nearby crop field, where they subjected the minors to sexual abuse.
Ilyas, while filing the case, told the police that the two boys told their parents that the suspects had taken them claiming that their family members had sent them to check on the children during the wedding function. The suspects also claimed that the parents of the victims were worried that the children had not returned and it was too late, the complainant added.
