The Counter Terrorism Department killed one suspected militant and arrested five others in an encounter in Karachiâs Malir, officials said Monday. According to initial information, most of them (arrested militants) belong to Afghanistan and we have found the evidence of RAW s involvement initially,â Sindh Information Minister Nasir Shah told reporters at the CTD office in Karachi.
The militants wanted to target the Sindh Assembly and other sensitive buildings in Karachi, the minister said.

Rawalpindi: Deputy Speaker, National Assembly Muhammad Qasim Khan Suri inaugurated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Wall at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) to create awareness about SDGs among students and faculty.
Chairman, Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Abrar ul Haq, Secretary, Young Parliamentarians Forum, MNA Uzma Jadoon, Executive Director, SSDO Syed Kausar Abbas and Vice Chancellor FJWU Dr. Saima Hamid also graced the ceremony with their presence.
Department of Sociology in collaboration with Sustainable Development Organization organised the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Qasim Khan Suri said that SDGs should be normalized to an extent that we know them by heart so that they are reflected in our actions and daily life. “Being the future of the country youth should be following them in letter and spirit. This will help us stand in the queue of developed nations,” he added.

Islamabad : Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police Friday arrested four members of a criminal gang and recovered snatched mobile phones, cash, motorbike and weapons along with ammunition from their possession.
According to a police news release, SSP (Investigation) Ata ur-Rehman constituted a special police team under the supervision of DSP Hakim Khan including inspector Abdul Gahfoor, ASI Muhammad Ishaq along with others for special checking in the areas of Khanna police station.
The team nabbed four members of a criminal gang including its ring leader identified as Muhammad Aamir, Imran alias Mani, Saddam Maqsood and Muhammad Qasim and recovered 11 snatched mobile phones, four 30 bore pistols along with ammunition and motorbike used in crime from their possession.
