Amid a shortage of Covid-19 vaccines in Maharashtra, students in Mumbai expressed resentment on the delayed inoculation drive and prolonged time gap between the first and second Covishield vaccine doses.
The Maharashtra government has put on hold vaccination for the 18-44 age group citing a shortage of vaccine doses. This week, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has started walk-in vaccination for students heading to foreign universities for three days.
Mumbai's fresh Covid cases, which stood at 676, showed a marked improvement in terms of fall in cases from what it was a month ago. At present, the city has 22,390 active Covid-19 cases in the city.
