Several people, including passenger associations, have been demanding resumption of local trains, the lifeline of the maximum city. However, Central Railway has now said that it has not received any proposal from the state government. The railway administration will be able to take a decision only after the state government s proposal, said Sanjeev Mittal, General Manager, Central Railway. Mittal made the remark during a press meet after he inspected various works on the Kolhapur-Satara route in the Pune section of Railways.
