What were you doing before you hit stardom?
I was a model before I came into the limelight. I started with modeling. Thereafter, I went for auditioning and I made it for one movie by Danladi Bako. I also did auditions for some other movies and telemovies on the Nigerian Television Authority.
Which movie brought you into the limelight?
The movie that brought me into the limelight was Surutu produced by Folabi Ogunjobi.
How did you switch from English movies into Yoruba movies where you became popular?
I can’t even say this was what happened. I will say it was just God. Because when it comes to English, I am fluent and coming into Yoruba and then going deep into the Ajase dialect, it’s a privilege. Like I say to people, actors are not made, they are born. And if something is inborn in a person, there is no way it won’t come up.
