Governor and First Lady Northam Open Executive Mansion for Virtual Holiday Tour Posted by Staff | Dec 24, 2020 | News | | RICHMOND Governor Ralph Northam and First Lady Pamela Northam are inviting Virginians to experience the holiday decorations at the Executive Mansion virtually this year. In a new video released today, the First Lady and floral designer David Pippin take viewers on a virtual tour of the residence as it is decorated for the holiday season. Each year, the Executive Mansion holds a holiday open house and regular holiday tours where the public can visit the residence in downtown Richmond and see the themed decorations in several rooms including the ballroom, the dining room, the Old Governor’s Office, and the Ladies Parlor, which are also featured in the video.

(Source: Virginia Promise Partnership/Facebook Live) A task force made up of childcare and early childhood education advocates is calling on Virginia to make childcare services available and affordable to everyone by 2030.  The Back to Work Virginia task force made the recommendation to First Lady Pamela Northam and several state legislators during a virtual conference on Facebook Live. No concrete financial or policy commitments were made, but the three lawmakers present expressed support for the idea. Those lawmakers were Sen. Janet Howell (D-Fairfax), Sen. Siobhan Dunnavant (R-Henrico) and Del. Delores McQuinn (D-Charles City).
