In fact, according to a new national survey conducted by Rockport – the brand that started a walking revolution with its iconic ProWalker shoe in 1985 – Americans are walking more than ever before. And the distance adds up – the survey uncovered over half (53 percent) of Americans are walking between one and five miles more each day compared to past years, with 36 percent walking at least 1-2 miles and 21 percent walking 3-4 miles each day.
