JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Two young men were taken to the hospital Friday afternoon with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the Lackawanna area.
It happened in the 3300 block of Rayford Street. The Jacksonville Sheriff s Office was called to the area at 11:46 a.m. in reference to a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found two people shot within about half a block of each other. There is evidence that the shooting took place outside of a home, JSO said.

A day before a benefit concert and car show to raise funds for the Jimmie Van Zant Cancer Charity and to remember the Lynyrd Skynyrd band member who died of the disease, somebody stole a trailer containing rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia valued at close to $12,000.
The items were to be sold at the April 10 Cruisin’ for Cancer Car Show and Concert at Southern Social Whiskey Bar in Middleburg.

Orange Park police on Friday posted an alert naming a suspect in the case as event organizers find ways to raise funds that could have come from selling items like a stolen 1957 Goldtop Les Paul guitar signed by Gregg Allman, Brian Howe, Butch Trucks and others. The department said an arrest warrant for grand theft has been issued for 38-year-old William James Walker of the Jacksonville area.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The Jacksonville Sheriff s Office is searching for a sex offender wanted on registration violations.
JSO is asking for information about the location of 39-year-old Ray Ronald Shepard. Detectives have attempted to locate Shepard, but they have been unsuccessful, according to a news release.
Anyone who sees Shepard or who knows his location is asked to call JSO at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org. You can also remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000 by calling First Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.

Jacksonville police said that 27-year-old Chelsea Elaine Swafford was found safe Saturday evening. Detectives continue investigating the shooting death as well as Swafford s possible abduction. The Sheriff s Office continues asking for the public s help identifying and locating the man and pickup truck police suspect are involved in the case.
Jacksonville police are investigating the possible abduction of a woman after receiving a tip about her as detectives were investigating a predawn fatal shooting Saturday in a Westside neighborhood.
The Sheriff s Office is searching for Chelsea Elaine Swafford, 27, to determine if she is safe and unharmed. She is Black, about 5-feet, 4-inches tall with brown eyes and black hair, police said.
