Another front arrives just in time for Christmas Day on Friday. We will wake up to a refreshing change on Christmas morning with lows into the 50s.
So the questions right now: 1) What will be the official high temperature on Friday? It may be in the 70s because the front is a bit slower. 2) What is the ‘actual’ afternoon temperature? Likely to only be in the 60s and falling into the 50s behind the cold front. As long as the ‘official’ high earlier in the day is below 73°, it is the coldest Christmas since 1999.
No doubt the coldest air will be on Friday night into Saturday when lows bottom out in the 40s and highs only reach the 60s. Cool and comfortable conditions will stick around for the upcoming weekend.

The initial shipment of 19,500 does of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was immediately placed into super cold freezers. A group of nine healthcare workers at the hospital system were the first to receive the vaccine later Tuesday. The initial group of nine to receive the shot included an emergency room physician, an ICU nurse, and a service worker who said being included in the initial rollout was humbling. Jackson Health s initial share of the vaccine arrived a days after three other hospital systems - Memorial Regional in Broward, UF Health in Jacksonville and Tampa General - received their first doses.

The heat remains on across South Florida - and no, we re not talking about Miami s NBA team but about temperatures in the 80s that will remain before a front arrives to bring that number down by the weekend.
We are tracking a couple fronts between Tuesday and the end of the week. The first front will drift our way, but stall just to our north later in the day. This will bring us a few extra clouds and keep us on the warm and humid side.
