Elton John is set to resume his Farewell tour in Europe this fall, with North American dates following in January of 2022. But Elton says when the tour is finally completed, heâs looking forward to never again having to sing one of his biggest hits.
Appearing on the podcast
Deeney Talks, hosted by British soccer star
Troy Deeney, Elton John was asked to name the song he feels heâs most identified with, and will never be able to get away from, no matter what else he does in his life.

As any artist will tell you, the problem with having hit songs is that you have to perform them.
Even for an icon like
Elton John whose repertoire is packed with pop/rock classics, one track has inevitably grown tiresome over the past five decades.
As he tells the
Deeney Talks podcast, one of his earliest hits is also the one he can t wait to put to bed for good. The last time I have to sing Crocodile Rock, I will probably throw a party, he told the show. But people love to hear it. It was written as a kind of joke, as a pastiche, and it became a big hit and people love to sing along with it.
