‘Highest ever’ exports cross $31bn in FY21, says Dawood By News Desk ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s exports have touched $31.3 billion in the outgoing fiscal year “the highest exports number in country’s economic history” Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood has said. In a news conference on Thursday, Dawood attributed the success to the government’s “prudent” policies. He said despite Covid-19, exports witnessed around 18 per cent growth during fiscal year 2020-21 compared to the previous year, while the percentage of growth was the highest in regional economies including India and Bangladesh. “We have come out from de-industrialisation and shifted into a growth phase and achieved the highest exports number in country’s economic history,” he said.
