Why are Ghanaians not putting pressure on Jean Mensah and her cohorts to resign?
It is obvious that Jean Mensah is not only incompetent but also immature for the position of Chair Person of the Electoral Commission. The several error-ridden election results announced by Jean Mensah, her misdeeds and uncouth behaviour she has demonstrated since her appointment are enough to justify a call for her resignation.
Jean Mensah ignored a petition from H.E Mr John D. Mahama who is not only a Former President of the country but also the Flagbearer of the main opposition party in the election who garnered over six million votes. To add insult to injury, she refused to come out to meet and accept a petition from the minority caucus in the Parliament who represent 106 constituencies.

As sections of the citizens are in the streets across the country demanding clarity from the leadership of the commission led by Jean Mensa and Bossman Asare after their shambolic organization of the Monday, December 7, 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections, they in turn continue to threat the people with contempt refusing to render any explanation.
There have been miscalculation of results, figures in words are not matching with figures in numbers, some parliamentary candidates, including Francis Dodovi, who contested the Suame Constituency seat in Ashanti Region, have had his name and score appearing in the Eastern Region, as having rather contested
According to the Commission, senior staff will be at post during the festive period to rectify anything that might come up on the recently held elections.
This clarification comes on the back of criticism by some section of Ghanaians and civil society organizations on the intended break by the EC amidst some challenges on the electoral results.
According to the CSOs comprising the Institute for Democratic Governance (IDEG), Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), Civic Forum Initiative (CFI), Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) and Norsacc, it is not the time for the EC to shut down considering the issues surrounding the recently-held polls.
