Triple H continues to publicly praise Shotzi Blackheart.
The Game made a congratulatory tweet to Blackheart after she won the NXT 2020 Year-End Award for Breakout Star of the Year last night.
“A now award-winning breakout year for @ShotziWWE…. can’t wait to see what 2021 brings. Congratulations! #NXTYearEndAwards #WWENXT,” he wrote.
Triple H also praised Adam Cole last night for his Male Competitor of the Year Award, which he’s won for the past two years now.
He wrote, “Two years in a row with victories, title reigns, and incredible moments along the way. Congratulations to @AdamColePro on winning #NXTAwardMale! #WeAreNXT #WWENXT”

Legado Del Fantasma came out to the ring towards the end of tonight s NXT to paint a picture of the future, one that doesn t have their reign atop the Cruiserweight division ending anytime soon. Escobar told the NXT universe that his reign was going to continue in 2021, though as he started to reveal his first order of business, he was interrupted by none other than Monday Night Raw s Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado, who took issue with him saying that his team controlled Lucha Libre.
Dorado said no one owns Lucha Libre, as it s for everyone, but Escobar cut him off, and then everyone flew into the ring. Before things could really kick off though they were interrupted by an official word from William Regal, who had declared they would be in a tag match later in the night.

Tonight s NXT was action-packed and featured several surprises, though perhaps the most unexpected one was that the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is making its return to the black and gold brand. The next edition of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will hit in 2021, though we don t know exactly when the tournament itself will take place.
What we do know though is that the full bracket and all of the tournament competitors will be revealed at next week s big New Year s Evil event, so we don t have to wait much longer to learn more.
