A Donegal Deputy has called for student renters to be given protection during the pandemic.
Deputy Thomas Pringle told Minister Simon Harris that students shouldn t be out of pocket for Covid-related accommodation.
Speaking in the Dail during statements on clauses in the residential tenancies bill to protect student rents, Deputy Pringle told Minister Simon Harris this is a huge issue for students from Donegal.
He said while a range of measures were introduced to protect renters, students have fallen through the cracks:

A Donegal Deputy has hit out at the Government over delays in the implementation of the proposed senior accountability regime legislation.
The Central Bank called for the legislation 3 years ago which if it comes to fruition would hold senior figures in financial entities to account.
This week in the Dail Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe stated that the legislation would be available before this year s summer recess.
