Missouri State Pitcher Hayden Juenger has been drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the sixth-round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
The junior became the 19th Bear drafted in the first 11 rounds since 2009.
Juenger was selected 182nd overall.

nd overall pick.

As such, David became the 53rd Major League Baseball First-Year Player draftee in Northwestern State history after being selected by the New York Mets in the ninth round of the 2021 draft Monday afternoon. I had talked to the Mets and talked to the (Texas) Rangers, and they told me a general plan of what today would look like, David said. It never quite turns out like you think it would. I knew I d probably go in the five to 10 (round) range. Around the fifth round, I sat down and started watching it and waited for phone calls. With every pick, there was a little extra excitement or nervousness. I was really excited to go where I went. I m truly blessed for it.

DENVER, Colo. – Gardner-Webb pitcher Mason Miller was selected in the third round (97th pick) of the 2021 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Oakland Athletics Monday afternoon.
Miller (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park HS) becomes the second-highest draftee in Gardner-Webb’s Division I era, following Zach Ward, who was picked 92
nd overall by the Cincinnati Reds in 2005.
The six-foot-five, 205-pound righty finished the 2021 season with an 8-1 record, forging a 3.30 ERA with 121 strikeouts in 92.2 innings of work. In fifteen trips to the mound, Miller fanned 10 or more batters on seven occasions, including a season-high 13 in a 6-2 win at Campbell on March 5.
