Detectives release CCTV after three armed robberies across Sydney
Investigators have released CCTV vision and are appealing for public information, as inquiries continue into three separate armed robberies at businesses across Sydney’s inner and south-west earlier this year.
Detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad established Strike Force Profert to investigate three alleged armed robberies at businesses in Canterbury, Hurlstone Park and Wiley Park on Sunday 3 January 2021 and Monday 4 January 2021.
The incidents include –
About 4.40am on Sunday 3 January 2021, three men – armed with knives and a firearm – entered a licenced premise at the intersection of Canterbury Road and Tincomb Street, Canterbury. The men threatened employees and patrons, before stealing cash from a number of poker machines and fleeing the area. Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Sydney’s south.
Journey Raharaha, aged 14, was last seen by her family at their home in Vermont Crescent, Riverwood, about 7.30am yesterday (Thursday 21 January 2021).
A short time later Journey was reported missing and Campsie Police Area Command commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, police have information Journey was at Hurstville train station about 9.20am yesterday.
Journey is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, small build, with brown eyes and short, shoulder length black hair. She was last seen wearing a cream coloured midriff top and gold necklace.

Police charge man after Belmore stabbing
A man has been charged and another man remains in a critical condition following a stabbing in Sydney’s south west overnight.
About 1.10am (Friday 1 January 2021), emergency services were called to Lucerne Street, Belmore, following reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers from Campsie Police Area Command arrived to find a 29-year-old man on the road with stab wounds to his stomach.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St George Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Crime scenes were established and examined by specialist officers.
