North Dakota’s Army National Guard says one of its units has received an alert for possible mobilization to the Middle East.
If ordered to mobilize, the Devils Lake-based 835th Engineer Utilities Detachment would deploy to the U.S. Central Command area of operations in mid-to-late summer 2021.
Officials say if the unit is mobilized, its mission is expected to last about one year and would consist of general construction and utility work.
