Prior to heading into Spring Break, Wetaskiwin Composite High School was reporting a COVID-19 outbreak that outbreak alert is still in effect as a new batch of cases forced the quarantining of nine cohorts Friday.
Principal Kris Denney said late last month, the school was notified of several cases in the school, which forced the quarantining of five classes. Those cohorts were sent home and quarantined for the duration of Spring Break.

“Most of the classes were back Tuesday,” he said. “Being closed for 13 days meant we were contact tracing through the break but now they are back in class.”
