In the ongoing Jet Airways resolution case, the civil aviation ministry, regulator DGCA and winning bidder Jalan-Kalrock consortium on Monday informed the NCLT that the issue of allotment of slots to the airline is expected to be resolved soon. The matter will be again heard by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in the third week of April. Jet Airways, which shuttered operations in April 2019, is undergoing a resolution process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). The counsels representing the ministry, DGCA and the Jalan-Kalrock consortium told the Mumbai bench of the NCLT that they are optimistic about an amicable resolution of the issue of historical slots soon.

Mumbai: The winning bidder for the now-defunct Jet Airways will have to apply for slots as there cannot be any deemed approval for the slots, according to submissions by the civil aviation ministry and regulator DGCA. The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and DGCA mentioned their stance to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), which had on February 25 sought their responses to Jet Airways slots issue.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), which is hearing the resolution plan of the grounded carrier Jet Airways, on Thursday granted time till March 2 to aviation regulator DGCA to respond on the airline s slots issue. During the hearing, the DGCA sought more time from the tribunal to clear their stance on Jet s slots, which the bench chaired by Mohammed Ajmal and V Nallasenapathy granted to reply on the slots of the Jet Airways by March 2.
