Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Ohio for a report of a suicidal subject. The suspect was ultimately transported to Bothwell for treatment. Charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Firearm Unlawful for Certain Persons, and Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree are being requested through the prosecutor s office. No further information was contained in the report.
Monday afternoon, Officers spoke to subjects at the Police Headquarters in reference to a gun they wished to turn over to the Police Department. The gun was placed into evidence for safe keeping.

Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop early Wednesday morning on a vehicle in the area of East Johnson Street and North Ohio Avenue, for a moving violation. Upon contact with the driver, the odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and additional evidence to indicate the driver was distributing the substance. Jordan Danielle Rhodes, 33, of Smithton, was arrested for Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Rhodes was placed on a 24 hour hold.

Sedalia Police Reports For December 28, 2020

Sunday evening, Sedalia Police performed a traffic stop on a green Ford SUV, as the license plate was expired. The traffic stop took place in the area of West 12th Street and South Osage Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver, and then performed a computer check through Dispatch, where it was learned that he had a felony probation violation warrant from Johnson County on original charges of Tampering With A Motor Vehicle. Tony L. Lawson, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $15,000 cash only bond.
