A mattress-making factory in Maharashtra was busted for using discarded masks to stuff products. According to a report with NDTV, the incident was reported from the Jalgaon district of the state, where the factory used discarded masks instead of cotton, to stuff mattresses. A case has been filed against the owner of the unit, following which a probe has been launched. The cops have also recovered piles of masks from the premises of the factory, the report said.Â
The alleged racket at the Maharashtra Mattress Centre was reported to the officials at a police station at the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Jalgaon.

When a woman visited her local department of motor vehicles (DMV), she never imagined that she would be wearing a face mask in the photo on her ID. Leslie Pilgrim, who hails from Huntington Beach in California, had waited for the DMV employee clicking her picture to let her know when it was time for her to remove the face mask.

Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh: The Gorakhpur Police is being trolled online for photoshopping masks on the faces of a constable and a murder accused.
Physical distancing and wearing face masks is compulsory in India owing to the coronavirus pandemic. In Uttar Pradesh, a fine of Rs 500 is imposed for not wearing a mask.
Gorakhpur Police s Twitter handle posted a photo of the constable and a murder accused standing together. When people pointed out that they were not wearing face masks as per the COVID-19 safety protocols, an edited version of the photo was posted.
