Stand united against Daesh terrorists, Zarif urges Afghans

10 May 2021 - 08:44 KABUL (Pajhwok): The Iranian foreign minister has urged the Afghans to stand united against the terrorists who massacred innocent schoolgirls in the Dasht-i-Barchi neighbourhood of Kabul. Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on Sunday: “Today, we’re mourning the innocent and fasting girls who were killed by ISIL (Daesh) terrorists.” The foreign minister wrote the terrorists had proven the attack on the girls’ school that they were alien to Islam and humanity. Zarif believed: “For all those who are the lovers of Islam and Afghanistan, now is the time to end fratricide and unite against the stateless terrorists.” Also on Sunday, the speaker of Iran’s parliament slammed the assault as cowardly, saying it would have no effect on the will of the Afghan people.
