ISLAMABAD: Former Senate Chairman Senator Mian Raza Rabbani asked the Federal Government to recognize the shadow government of Myanmar, “Government of National Unity”, which has been formed as a consequence of the turmoil in the country since the military overthrew the democratic government of the National League for Democracy.
“The brutal crackdown on the people of Myanmar is taking place at the hands of the military, as they are struggling for democracy, Constitution and rule of law,” he said in a statement on Friday.
