MULTAN: The Punjab government Wednesday started administering coronavirus vaccine doses to people over 60 years of age at in Multan division and south Punjab districts. In the Multan division the authorities have established twenty centres for the purpose. Talking to reporters, health officials said 20 vaccination centres had been established in Multan division, including eight centres in Mulan district, six in Multan city and one each in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shujabad and Jalalpur Pirwala. In Multan city the vaccination centers are established at Muhamamd Shahbaz Sharif DHQ hospital, Nishtar Hospital, Multan Institute of Cardiology and Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Dental. The Multan district has received 5,850 coronavirus vaccine doses and more stock is expected to reach soon. Five perish in two road accidents

Five people including a couple were killed while one person sustained serious injuries in two accidents in Okara on Tuesday.
Police shifted the bodies to a hospital and were investigating the traffic accidents. According to the police report, the first accident took place near GT Road, Akhtarabad Bridge at around seven in the morning when Advocate Sarwar Javi, a member of Depalpur Bar Association, was traveling in a car with his colleagues Younis and Hussain. On his way to Lahore High Court, he was hit by a van coming from the opposite direction. Sarwar and both his colleagues were killed on the spot. The accident resulted in the car being destroyed. Sheikh Khalid, a resident of Bahria Town Lahore, was injured. He was travelling in the van. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

LAHORE: Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Barrister Khalid Khurshid called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office on Friday and discussed matters of mutual interest. Both the chief ministers strongly condemned Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir and expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris.
Punjab Information Technology Board Chairman Azfar Manzur and Secretary to CM Gilgit-Baltistan Usman Ahmed signed an MoU. Under the MoU, PITB will assist in developing CM complaint management system, web portal and task management system for GB.

Pakistan incomplete sans Kashmir

LAHORE:Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar along with provincial ministers and assembly members expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

MIAN CHANNU:
At least six members of a family were killed in a tragic road accident on Mohsinwal Jandiali Road in the suburbs of Mian Channu when a speeding car lost control and rammed into a tree.
The man who was driving the vehicle, his wife and a son died on the spot. Rescue 1122 sources said a tyre of the vehicle burst due to speeding and the car hit a tree.
The family was travelling to Mohsinwal. Six people, Malik Eid Mohammad, his wife Razia Bibi, sons Saifullah and Abdullah, Saifullah’s wife Mariam Bibi and granddaughter one-year-old Aima while Muqaddas Bibi was severely injured.
