COLLEGE STATION, TX â On May 6, the Texas A&M University Department of Student Activities announced the return of three in-person camp sessions happening this summer.
Housed under Extended Orientation, Fish Camp, Transfer Camp, and Venture Camps are intended to help transform the lives of incoming Aggies through experiences, student and staff connections, and Texas A&M traditions.
Servers, kitchen staff and other hospitality workers flocked to Fish On in Lewes in March and April to receive Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations. The restaurant is owned by SoDel Concepts, which opened the events to all SoDel Concept employees and other industry workers.
âSome people drove down from Wilmington when they heard about the vaccination event for the hospitality industry,â said Scott Kammerer, president of SoDel Concepts in Rehoboth Beach. âI am so proud of my team. They worked alongside Beebe Healthcare, which is doing so much for our coastal communities.â

Scott Kammerer, president of SoDel Concepts, based in Rehoboth Beach, recently announced that Danielle Panarello has been promoted to vice president of operations. Michael Dickinson, the former VP of operations, has been promoted to vice president of SoDel Concepts.
Panarello was previously a director of operations for the hospitality company, which has 12 coastal Delaware restaurants and more to come, including Mattâs Fish Camp in Fenwick Island.
âDanielle is one of our most talented team members,â said Scott Kammerer, president of SoDel Concepts. âShe has extensive experience in the front and back of the house. Sheâs a skillful leader with an impeccable work ethic, which makes her an invaluable resource.â
Hick’s Fish Camp is also open to the public.
Peterson’s Landing was closed from April 19-23 for routine maintainence on the pipeline, according to Georgia-Pacific Foley Public Affairs Manager Scott Mixon.
During that time, the public was encouraged to use Hick’s Landing to access the Steinhatchee River and the Gulf.
Apologizing for the inconvenience, Mixon said: “Safety is one of our highest priorities. Please be alert and follow all safety rules.”
Mixon said GP will continue to work with local authorities and provide residents with information about any maintenance activity in their area.
