Australian Maritime Safety Authority The National Search and Rescue Council (NatSAR) Australian Search and Rescue Awards are open for nominations. The awards recognise outstanding contributions to search and rescue within the Australian region from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. Anyone can nominate another person or team of people for one of the prestigious National awards. AMSA Chief Executive officer, Mr Mick Kinley, said he strongly encourages anyone who might have been involved in a search and rescue, or knows someone who has, to consider applying through the simple online nomination process. “Every year I am impressed with the incredible stories of heroism that come out of our search and rescue community during the NatSAR Awards night,” Mr Kinley said.
