Fest a celebration of artistic, cultural and media creativity of the people of Kuwait
KUWAIT CITY, May 9: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Artists and Media Syndicate in Kuwait, Dr. Nabil Al-Failakawi, announced that the Syndicate will organize the Kuwait New Cinema Festival from May 25 to May 27 under the auspices of the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Failakawi said in a press statement the initiative of the Minister of Information comes in support of the youth to celebrate the artistic, cultural and media creativity of the people of Kuwait. He praised Minister Al-Mutairi’s directives to affirm the name of Kuwait, celebrate the generations of the artistic craft in the field of cinema, and open the doors for cooperation with the specialized bodies, foremost among which is the Ministry of Information, as well as the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature.
MFA EX to return this year in both Sydney and Melbourne

The Media Federation of Australia (MFA) has confirmed the return of its MFA EX: Media For All Effectiveness Expo this year, with the 2021 edition set to feature a Melbourne event in addition to the usual Sydney event.
This will be the conference’s second edition, following its launch in 2019, as it was postponed due to COVID in 2020.
The MFA said it “found strong support from members for MFA EX to go ahead ‘bigger and better’ in 2021 as a way for the industry to reconnect post-COVID, share knowledge and tackle challenging conversations”.

The Collective Labor Contract in the Romanian National News Agency (ANP) AGERPRES, for the 2021-2023 period, entered into force, the Romanian Union for Journalists (SRJ) MediaSind announced on Monday.
After negotiations, the document was signed by the representatives of SRJ MediaSind, the Bucharest branch, the General Director of ANP AGERPRES, Claudia Nicolae, and the members of the Board of Directors of the institution, the union s release says.
The Collective Labor Contract for the 2021-2023 period was verified and submitted to the Bucharest Territorial Inspectorate for Labor (ITM Bucharest).
The act contains European regulations regarding freedom of speech, the Ethical Code for Journalists, the Ethical Guide for Photojournalism, and, not least, important provisions to ensure working conditions worthy of a public press institution.
