A 41-year-old man died late Sunday night while in custody at the Milwaukee County Jail, authorities said. The man was found unresponsive in his cell at the jail at 11:23 p.m. and was pronounced dead just before midnight, the Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office said in a news release. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner s Office said it is investigating the death as a suicide.  The Waukesha County Sheriff s Department will lead the investigation into the death. In a statement released Monday night, the Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office said the man was found unresponsive in a cell. Correctional officers and jail medical staff began performing life-saving measures and Milwaukee Fire Department paramedics arrived and continued life-saving measures.
