Meet the New Youth Services Librarian at The Millicent Library
The Millicent Library is excited to announce a new Youth Services Librarian. Allie Thiel stepped into the role on January 11 ready to meet the challenges in providing engaging and enriching programming and materials to teens and children while the library building remains closed to the public.
A native of Townsend, Allie brings a wealth of library experience having recently worked as the Teen Services Librarian at the Townsend Public Library, and with children youth services at the Ames Free Library in Easton. In addition, she has provided library services to students at the Groton School, and in the McGill University Data and Statistics lab.

FORT KENT, Maine The University of Maine at Fort Kent is pleased to welcome Dr. Kaisa Holloway Cripps as an assistant professor of business, who started on Jan. 1.
Dr. Holloway Cripps earned her doctor of management from the University of Maryland University College in 2016 and she will complete her graduate certificate in Native American Studies from Montana State University Bozeman later this year. She earned her bachelors of arts in humanities and social science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2006 and she earned her MBA from the UMass Dartmouth Charlton College of Business in 2010.
Fairhaven Oxford School Cupola Returns to Its Rightful Place

Fairhaven Police and staff from Nick s Services Electrical and Home Improvement Contractors in Fairhaven were escorting a large cupola through the town.
Sergeant Timothy Souza from the Fairhaven Police Department told us that they received a call Saturday morning from Fairhaven Selectman Keith Silvia looking for assistance in returning the cupola back to its original location.
If the cupola looks familiar to you, but you can t quite place where you ve seen it, it normally sits atop the Oxford School in North Fairhaven.
