BLACK ROCK, Millard County A train with multiple cars containing flammable liquids derailed along state Route 257 on Saturday.
In a statement on Sunday, Union Pacific said the train carried mixed freight in 28 cars and derailed about 4:30 p.m. There are no injuries, and Union Pacific is currently working to remove debris and repair the area of the derailment, it said.
Union Pacific said an engineer and a conductor were on the train.
Millard County Sheriff s Office Lt. Robert Clark said six cars were carrying flammable liquids. The other cars contained bulk flour, wheat and other commodities. The liquids were contained to the railroad right-of-way. The derailment did not affect any roadways.
