Public health officials advise four additional deaths in people with COVID-19 have been reported today including:
• a female in her 70s from the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region;
• a male in his 70s from the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region;
• a female in her 70s from the Winnipeg health region; and
• a male in his 90s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at Concordia Place Personal Care Home.

WINNIPEG Health officials have declared another COVID-19 outbreak at a Manitoba jail among the hardest hit by the pandemic. On Monday, the Headingley Correctional Centre was moved back to the restricted level on the pandemic response system as health officials reported another outbreak. According to provincial data, the jail has nine active cases. The province first declared an outbreak at the Headingley Correctional Centre in mid-October. In that time, the jail has seen a total of 258 cases, including 212 cases among inmates and 49 cases among staff. The province said there are currently eight outbreaks declared at Manitoba correctional centres, with 16 active cases reported across four jails including:

Speaking Tuesday, the inmate at Milner Ridge Correctional Centre said the province isn t living up to its legal and moral responsibility to keep inmates safe.
Ducharme, 37, doesn t have symptoms and is awaiting test results from his most recent nasal swab Sunday at the provincial jail, located about 20 kilometres southwest of Lac du Bonnet. However, he believes it s inevitable he ll join inmates already deemed positive for the novel coronavirus and segregated from the rest of the population.
WINNIPEG Outbreaks of COVID-19 have been declared at a Winnipeg hospital and health centre in Winnipeg. On Tuesday, provincial health officials reported an outbreak was declared at the Health Sciences Centre unit GA4, as well as the Riverview Health Centre. Both sites have been moved to the critical or red level on the pandemic response system. There are currently 17 outbreaks at health-care facilities across the province, 13 outbreaks at assisted living facilities, and 45 outbreaks at personal care homes. The province announced the outbreak at Tuxedo Villa Extendicare in Winnipeg was declared over as of Tuesday.
