65-year-old pedestrian injured in Derry Township crash: police

A 65-year-old man was taken to the hospital after he was hit by an SUV Wednesday morning while crossing a Hershey road, police said.
The man was crossing Route 422 (West Chocolate Avenue) from north to south on the west side at about 7:27 a.m. when a GMC Yukon hit him, according to Derry Township police. The Yukon was on Ridge Road making a left at the Route 422 intersection when the crash occurred, police said.
The man, who was dragged under the vehicle for a short distance after the crash, was taken to Milton S. Hershey Medical Center for unspecified injuries, police said. His current condition is unknown. The Yukon was not damaged, police said.
