MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – It took less than a day for thousands of appointments to be booked for the mass vaccination event at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
Just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Department of Health and Environmental Control’s website showed that no more appointments were available for Tuesday, March 2 and Wednesday, March 3.
But McLeod Health announced after the appointments were booked that they’re working to add more appointment times for the mass vaccination events in Myrtle Beach.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Hundreds of people received vaccinations Tuesday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
This was the first mass vaccination event in the city and a major indicator of how future events will go.
The city provided the convention center space, but it was entirely run by the Department of Health and Environmental Control.
The clinic was by appointment only. Approximately 600 people ages 65 and older registered to get vaccinated.
