AMC Networks has acquired six-part British revenge thriller “The Beast Must Die,” which will premiere on AMC and streaming service AMC+ later in 2021.
The series, which brings “Mad Men” and “The Terror” actor Jared Harris back to AMC, is produced in partnership with BritBox UK, New Regency Television International and Ridley Scott’s Scott Free. The show has yet to get a premiere date on BritBox UK.
In addition to Harris, “The Beast Must Die” also stars Cush Jumbo, Billy Howle, Nathaniel Parker and Geraldine James.

Jan. 21 (UPI) AMC Networks announced Thursday it has acquired the limited series
The Beast Must Die. Jared Harris and Cush Jumbo star, along with Billy Howle, Nathaniel Parker and Geraldine James.
The announcement says the six-part series tells the story of a grieving mother seeking revenge on the man who killed her son. AMC did not confirm which roles Harris and Jumbo would be playing.

AMC has grabbed U.S. rights to a British limited series titled
The Beast Must Die.
The six-part thriller, starring Jared Harris (
Mad Men, The Terror, Chernobyl) and Cush Jumbo (
The Good Fight), comes from New Regency Television International, Scott Free and BritBox, where it will air in the U.K. It s set to premiere on both the linear AMC network and its streaming platform, AMC+, later in 2021. This series will be something special for AMC and our AMC+ subscribers. It continues a legacy of very successful relationships with the brilliant Jared Harris and our friends at Scott Free, and forges new producing partnerships with BritBox and New Regency Television, said Dan McDermott, president original programming at AMC Networks.
