Former Palomar College Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Student Services Star Rivera-Lacey is returning to lead the San Marcos school as superintendent/president.
The Oceanside native and Fallbrook resident most recently has served as vice president of student services at the San Diego College of Continuing Education, the noncredit division of the San Diego Community College District, and said she has deep roots to the community college system.
“The mission and vision of community college is something really close to my heart because I know what it’s done for me,” said Rivera-Lacey, who attended MiraCosta College after attending El Camino High School. “It’s changed the trajectory of my life.”
