Almost 20 days after armed men looted a jewellery store in
Mira Road’s Shanti Nagar area, the three accused were arrested from Lucknow on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in the dacoity.
The accused were involved in looting Rs 1.54 crore worth jewellery from S Kumar Gold and Diamonds on January 7.
The accused are natives of Uttar Pradesh and were hiding in Jaunpur, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Ghazipur and Lucknow.
They have been identified as Dinesh Nishad, Shailendra Kumar and Vinay Kumar.

On Tuesday, 13 persons tested positive for the virus. This is the second time in January that the twin-cities have recorded less than 15 cases.

India have been continuing to outnumber daily new cases since the last 20 days, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said here on Wednesday.
Total cumulative recoveries stand at 1,03,59,305 today with 12,689 patients recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate has further grown to 96.91 per cent.
India s total active caseload stands at 1,76,498 today and present active caseload now composes just 1.65 per cent of India s total positive cases.
The police on Saturday seized cocaine worth nearly Rs 19 lakhs from Bhayander in Maharashtra s Thane district, officials informed on Sunday. Along with the banned drugs, a 30-year-old man was arrested by the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar police.

Over 12.7 lakh healthcare workers have received COVID-19 vaccine jabs in the country till the evening of the seventh day of the nationwide immunisation as per a provisional report, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday.
