Despite obvious challenges, winners and nominees alike put on some stellar performance between the actual awards, and in case you missed it, you can now watch some of those performances below.  Featuring massive wins by Megan Thee Stallion and Canada s very own Kaytranada, who secured the awards for Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance Recording, as well as the first-ever Grammy win for the Strokes, the ceremony had a wealth of talent to draw from.

Two Canadian artists bring home Grammy awards

The superstar picked up four awards, two of which were for her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, Savage. Her Brown Skin Girl music video, which features her daughter Blue Ivy, also won a trophy, as did her Black Parade single. Overall, the 2021 Grammys celebrated women who had made major waves in music over the last year. Megan won three awards, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. Billie Eilish, who swept the five major categories at the 2020 Grammys, was awarded twice more this year, taking home Record of the Year for Everything I Ever Wanted and Best Song Written for Visual Media for No Time to Die.

Beyoncé also made her own history.  Queen Bey and Stallion won two Grammys with their collaborative remix of “Savage” Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.  They became the first pair of women to win in the Best Rap Performance category.  Stallion thanked her collaborator in her acceptance speech. “I definitely want to say thank you to Beyoncé,” she said. “If you know me, you have to know that ever since I was little, I was like, ‘You know what, one day I’m going to grow up, I’m going to be like the rap Beyoncé.’ That was definitely my goal.”
