HÀ NỘI Digital technology and innovation play an important role in increasing production efficiency, productivity, food safety and distribution, as well as in connecting producers with consumers, according to Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Bình Minh.
The Deputy PM was speaking at the second National Dialogue on Việt Nam s Food Systems on Friday in Hà Nội.
Minh added it was also crucial to minimise food losses and wastes, and create better resilience of agricultural supply chains, raise awareness and promote green and sustainable consumption to protect the environment and public health.

Home-quarantine to be piloted nationwide
Vietnam will pilot a nationwide home-quarantine programme for F1 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients.
The move was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam following the Ministry of Health’s proposal.
At an online meeting on HCM City’s Covid-19 situation held on Monday, Dam said that he had received many opinions suggesting the home-quarantine.
At present, the pilot home quarantine is being applied in HCM City. People who come into close contact with Covid-19 patients can quarantine themselves at home for 28 days, but strictly following regulations.

Hanoi (VNA)- El
Banco Mundial (BM) está dispuesto a estrechar la cooperación con
el Ministerio de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural de Vietnam (MADR) y ofrecer más
apoyo financiero para los proyectos de desarrollo agrícola del país indochino
en el futuro.
La directora
nacional del BM en Vietnam, Carolyn Turk, así lo afirmó durante una reunión de
trabajo con el titular del MADR, Le Minh Hoan, efectuada recientemente en
Hanoi.
En la cita,
la representante del BM destacó los avances del desarrollo agrícola en el país
indochino y apuntó asimismo las dificultades y desafíos como los impactos del
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Lê Minh Hoan has asked city and provincial People’s Committees to take drastic measures to ensure forest fire prevention amid extremely hot weather.
