City council will examine next week the impacts of three options that could drastically alter service levels at the fire hall in Val Therese and how much taxes people in the Valley pay.
The issue with Station 16 in Val Therese arose last year during an arbitration between the municipality and the Sudbury Professional Firefighters Association.

“The arbitration board ruled in favour of the SPFFA’s proposal to increase staffing at Station 16 from two full-time firefighters to four full-time firefighters per shift,” a staff report to council said.
