The International Commission on Glass (ICG), the Community of Glass Associations (CGA) and ICOM-Glass are promoting a United Nations International Year of Glass for 2022.
Its aim is to underline the scientific and economic importance of glass, the unseen heart of so many technologies and a facilitator of just and sustainable societies as they face the challenges of globalization.
A formal presentation of the project was streamed worldwide on Thursday 3rd December via the CSIC channel on YouTube. It quickly clocked up 2500 direct hits with many more through LinkedIn and Google. New letters of endorsement arrived, adding to the 1150 previously received from 74 countries. Nasir Group to build float plant in Bangladesh with CTIEC

The contract was signed online by He Wen, chief economist of CTIEC, and Nasir s board Chairman and President.
Float Glass manufacturer Nasir Group is to build a 600 tpd plant after a contract signing with China Triumph International Engineering Company (CTIEC).
It is the third contact to build a float glass plant signed between the two parties and CTIEC’s fourth float glass contract in Bangladesh.
The first contract signed between two parties was 18 years ago. Since then, the two parties have established a long-term reliable partnership.
