Harney and Coos counties have been warned they will move backwards if their numbers don t improve.
In the Portland area, Clackamas County remains at High Risk, because its vaccination rate is 62%. Any county with a vaccination rate of 65% or better moves to the Lower Risk category. The science is clear: vaccines are very effective in keeping people safe from COVID-19, and they are the key to returning to normal life and lifting health and safety restrictions statewide, said Governor Brown. Holiday delays expected aboard Washington State Ferries
There could be longer delays than normal on Washington State Ferries this Memorial Day with a reduced schedule still in effect.
WASHINGTON - Last Memorial Day, Washingtonians and people across the United States were still reeling from the early months of the pandemic, and many activities were canceled and destinations shut down.
This year looks different than last as more people are getting vaccinated and economies are opening back up.
More than 37 million Americans are expected to travel for Memorial Day weekend, according to a AAA Travel forecast, representing a significant increase from last year.
