Trains to and from London halted by flooding - live updates
The line is flooded just south of Wellingborough
Trains to and from London on the Midland Mainline have been halted due to flooding.
Passengers are being urged to use alternative routes to get to their destinations, with people from Leicester being sent via Nuneaton to London Euston, which will take about two hours - twice as long as the normal time for a train from Leicester to London St Pancras.
The problem is not expected to be fixed until 6.15pm.
East Midlands Railway said in a statement on its website: There has been heavy rail which has flooded the railway, south of Wellingborough. This is between Bedford and Wellingborough and is disrupting our trains on the London St Pancras / Nottingham / Sheffield route.
