More on last night s game - Bluebird Banter

More on last night’s game Share this story Photo by Douglas P. DeFelice/Getty Images With a few hours to think about things, we could look at the decisions made and not made last night. So why didn’t Montoyo keep Davis in the game for the tenth inning? The real reason is that the game moves faster for those in the dugout than watching on TV. There are many many decision to be made and, likely, at that moment there was discussions on pitching, how long can we go with Merryweather, what would be the moment that would make us pull him. How many more pitches can we hope for. All that stuff would be discussed. It isn’t like OOTP.you can’t pause the game and sit and think about it. The game continues. What it wasn’t was punishment for Davis being picked off. I’m sure Davis was told to steal. We wanted him in scoring position. That’s why he was there. There is a risk when you are going all out for the steal.

Pizza Hut Built an Offline-only Website to get People to Disconnect for Earth Hour

Creative 100 Add to collection M&C Saatchi UAE and Pizza Hut teamed up for the internet sorcery encouraging people to switch off As the UAE geared up to join millions of people across the world in raising awareness of the issues facing the planet, Pizza Hut offered customers an alternative way to get involved – other than just having to turn off their lights.  With its Offline Hour campaign, Pizza Hut encouraged people in two countries to disconnect from the internet during Earth Hour in order to win a free pizza. The campaign ran through a website, created by agency partner M&C SAATCHI UAE, that only works offline with no data, no WiFi and a bit of internet sorcery. Special code built into the back end allows the site to detect when users have no active internet connection and reveal a 60-minute countdown timer. If users go back online, the timer stops and they ll be prompted to go back offline in order to claim a free pizza.

Top 60 All-Time Greatest Blue Jays: #20 Joe Carter

Top 60 All-Time Greatest Blue Jays: #20 Joe Carter Share this story Joseph Chris Carter | RF, LF, 1B | 1991-1997 This is the one I cheated on. Most of the other guys are with a few spots of where they landed on the little formula I use. Joe, well, he ended up nearer the back of the list. But I decided I’d put him here as kind of an honorary spot. I made a ‘Joe Carter’ rule, zeroing out seasons where a player had a negative WAR, figuring a player shouldn’t be better off not to play than to play badly. But it didn’t move Joe up as far as I thought it might, even with bonuses for playoff performances.
