HOUSE OF DELEGATES PASSES POLICE REFORM: The House of Delegates passed sweeping police reform legislation Thursday evening, Bryn Stole reports for the Sun. Some of it is similar to what the Senate passed by wide margins, setting the stage for negotiations between the chambers over the details of how law enforcement officers are trained, investigated and disciplined.
The debate over the ominbus policing bill revealed the different realities of policymakers weighing how to hold police officers accountable, with one lawmaker saying she worries about her own son being treated differently because he is black, Ovetta Wiggins reports for the Post.

One North Texas family has been dealt one loss after another, beginning when they lost power.
“We have goats, we have chickens,” said Mitchel Miller. “[My wife] picked out another 25 different varieties of chickens that are due to be delivered in March.”
It was all a dream come true for Miller, his wife Ana-Merche Stierwalt Miller and their four young children, ages 11 to 14.

Last night’s game was a rollercoaster of emotions. The Leafs started poorly, very obviously the second fastest team on the ice, but came out in the second period and really dominated the game in the offensive zone. Finally in the third, they were playing like they were down and the Flames like they were ahead. It was a good mentality to have, unfortunately, that situation came to pass with an unfortunate goal late in the third.

Suzanne and Owen Miller watched the street racing Sunday after supporting their son Mitchell Miller at the drag racing on Friday night. They live just outside of Invercargill, but Suzanne said she was in town every day during the Burt Munro Challenge.
Invercargill businesses welcomed bikers as they arrived in droves and helped to boost’s the town’s economy during the Burt Munro Challenge. The 15th event wrapped up on Sunday with the final event being the street racing held in the city, and because of Covid-19 pandemic the usual influx of international motorbike enthusiasts was missing.
